A record Harvest at Our Community Garden

Gail Sanders announced the harvest from our community garden reached a record high this year thanks to all who participated in maintaining, weeding, and watering our club garden. Our donation this year was 578 pounds—six pounds over our previous donation record. In addition, another 109 pounds was donated by club members from their gardens.

This was truly an all member, club effort headed up by Gail Sanders along with committee members, Cheryl Svee, Eileen Spaman, and Susan Glick-Shore who also harvested and delivered everything to local food pantries. The record poundage was also to be submitted to Garden Glories in an effort to win a state award for all the clubs and gardeners who donated produce to local food pantries.
