January 2016 Business Meeting
Annual Business Meeting 1/19, 6:30 at the Police Station We'll be discussing plans for 2016 that include the Community Giving Garden at Springfield Park, plans for the dedication of the Club's Memorial Garden in Old Town Park (June Meeting) and of course the Plant Sale, May 12/13. (We will also be discussing the possible change of our meeting location which will also mean changing the dates of the meetings beginning in April and forward.)

In this interactive presentation, food blogger and cookbook author Emily Paster will cover five ways to preserve your garden harvest from canning to freezing to drying and root-cellaring. September 2016 Meeting – SCARCE
SCARCE Our Founding Fathers and Sustainability The Bloomingdale Garden Club hosts Kay McKeen from SCARCE for a presentation on the historical aspects of caring for the environment. Our historic leaders had a clear understanding of the need to protect and nurture the soil. Kay's program will include The Founding Gardeners book, composting, WWII Victory Gardens and today's community gardens. Visitors are welcome.
